Adi's 1st Movie

So Jeremy and I decided to take Adi to her very first movie for her birthday.  We wanted to take her on her actual birthday, but the day before Jeremy found out that he needed to go out of town for work.  So on Wednesday night after we both got off work we took Jack-Jack to Bryce and Shaylee's house to watch him and headed to the theatre.  The whole way there Adi was so concerned about where Jack-Jack was and was so sad he wasn't with us.  I guess we've never really just taken her anywhere without him.  I kept asking Adi if she wanted to go to a movie and she just kept pointing to her TV screen she has in the car.  She didn't understand what going to a movie meant, because she hasn't ever gone to one.  I took a few pictures before we went in, but didn't think we should take my big camera in the theatre, so the rest of the pictures are just with my phone.  She was so excited to hold her own little box with popcorn and a treat in it. And was walking in the theatre like she owned the place.  We sat her on a booster seat and she had her own popcorn, drink and treat in her lap! She just thought it was so fun.  And when the lights finally dimmed and the movie started she just kept looking at me and Jeremy like she couldn't even believe it.  She did so good.  We saw the movie "The Lorax" and it was actually really cute even for us.  She LOVED it.  Towards the very end she did start to get a little antsy and wanted to sit on Jeremy's lap and then mine. But she did GREAT! The whole way home she kept saying "show"! And she was so relieved when we picked Jack up! She kept trying to tell Jack that she saw a "show! So fun! Love this girl!

On our way to the theatre.  Adi showing me that she was already watching a "movie"!

Getting our own popcorn and waiting for the movie to start! (Hate how crappy the pictures are with my phone!)

Adi is 2

Dear Adilynn,

There are no words to even say how amazing you are.  You bring so much sunshine into my life. You have had to grow up so much over this past year, with baby Jack-Jack coming into our lives.  You have amazed me at how natural it came to you in being a big sister. You are such a tender, sweet child.  You are a pretty shy little girl. You are so sensitive to everyone around you.  If anyone is sad, you are sad with them.  You are always trying to make others happy.....I love how concerned you are about little brother Jack-Jack.  You hate when he is sad and try to do anything to make him happy. Always giving him toys and patting his head like its all ok! I love how you kiss his "owies" and his "cratches" (scratches). And ask if he is "k" (ok) when he coughs!  I love how much you love giving others hugs and kisses.  It's crazy just how much you've grown up in the last few months.  You are talking like crazy.  You have so much expression in your face that I usually know exactly what you are saying even if I can't understand your words. I love how girly you are already.  You keep asking to wear dresses and always are walking around with your purse full of pretties (bracelets), rings, a phones, keys and credit cards.  if you see someone in a dress or skirt you say "oh cute'! I LOVE IT! You always want me to put make-up on you when I'm doing my own make-up (I just pretend to)! You let me put tiny curls in your hair with a curling-iron cause you love how pretty it looks. You absolutely HATE bugs or any kind of dirt what-so-ever on anything! You are so much like me.....you love your routine and everything to be organized.  You are already so helpful with cleaning up clothes after bath-time and helping to clean up your toys.  You love to help me clean too.....you follow behind me with the duster and want to vacuum.  When you play with your toys I always notice how you organize them....whether by color or location!  Its so stinking cute. I would say your favorite things to do right now are coloring and playing with your kitchen.  You also LOVE puzzles and reading books.  You'll go into your room, get a book out of the closet, sit on the floor and read it out loud....of course its mostly gibberish, but you truly seem to know what you are reading.  And then you always put it back onto the book shelf.  Its so cute! You are such a beautiful little girl. Tall and skinny and so dainty.  Your eyes are the most amazing color blue....they look like the sky! They are almost mesmerizing. You are absolutely perfect in every way! You are the joy in my life. I now know the true meaning of life since you and Jack-Jack have been a part of it. I can't even imagine my life without your sweet little spirit! You bring smiles to my face all day long!  I love you so much my little "Loo"!

                                                    Love,
                                                          Mommy

Adi's Birthday Party

So if I could plan parties for a living I totally would! I LOVE IT! It is always so much fun!  I was trying to think of something that Adi just loves to do her party theme around.  She is absolutely obsessed with this purse she has.  So I decided to do the whole party around this purse.  And unfortunately the purse is hot pink and zebra.  I am not a huge animal print person.  But decided a party would be fun with the zebra.  I feel like the hot pink and zebra is a little much so I added yellow and turquoise to it.  I didn't go as crazy as I did last year, but I did want everything to be cute.  We invited both our families and a few friends.  I had a million people in my little house and it was crazy.  It was so load you could hardly hear yourself.  FUN CRAZY CHAOS!! We are so blessed to have so many people in our lives that love our little Adi!  She is so lucky to be loved so much.  Thank you everyone for coming.  We sure appreciate all of you!

I did all the decorations while Adi was taking her nap. I wanted to surprise her with everything being completely done.  This was her reaction when she came down the stairs and saw it.  She was so excited and kept pointing at everything and saying "look"!

I love lanterns. I think they make the party.  I couldn't believe I found the pink and zebra purse party favors.  They couldn't have been more perfect! And I filled them with sunglasses, rings, bracelets....total girly stuff. And then of course had a few separate things for the 3 boys (the twins and Adam).  It is amazing how many little girls we have between Jeremy's family and our friends girls.  There are 12 girls and only 4 boys.  So I did everything pretty girly. Hobby Lobby had the birthday banner that was actually pretty cute.  And I made the utensil holders!

I love my cake lady!  This turned out perfect.  It is SOO cute and always so yummy!

This was the gift table.  Jeremy and I got her the table and chairs as her birthday gift.  So we piled all the gifts on the table!

We didn't do much for food.  We just did pizza and a veggie tray with water and lemonades! I love doing gourmet food, but its always the really stressful part right before the party, so we did it easy this time!

Family and Friends

The Pinyata.  Adi didn't really know what she was supposed to do with the bat! It was cute!

Opening her gifts. She got spoiled rotten, as always.  She got tonz of clothes, lots of coloring/art stuff, Jaime bought her a couple pairs of Toms that are SO stinking cute, and lots of new stuff for her kitchen!

Shaylee's Baby Shower

So my mom, Jaime and I through a small baby shower for my sister-in-law, Shaylee!  She is having a boy and we can't even wait! She is the cutest pregnant girl! She got some cute, fun stuff! We are just sooo excited for her and Bryce!
I absolutely love planning parties, so I was mostly in charge of the decorations...It all turned out so fun! I did all the decorations around her maternity pictures that she had taken.....they were taken in the snow up the canyon.....so I tried to do most things....a little wood-sy!

Most of the friends and family that came....And of course, cute Shaylee and her little belly!

The table of food.... we had potato soup with rolls, chips & salsa, a fruit bar, cream puffs and a cake! Everything was so yummy...especially the cute cake that my mom's friend, Karen made!
And my sweet husband cut the branch down for me to use as a center piece! (The things he does for me!)

The yogurt bar was delicious...always nice to have something healthy and not just a bunch of junk-food.  We did Greek yogurt with honey and then everyone put whatever toppings they wanted!

Some of the decorations...I actually made the "tulle pom-poms"! I wish they would have been a little bigger, but turned out cute still. Then we tried to display a bunch of her maternity pictures...

We put all the plates, napkins and utensils in this old blue piece of luggage....I made the containers that the utensils are in and it all came together pretty cute!

Burlap.....wood-sy right!?!  The party favors were chocolate covered almonds....I love my cricut machine!

Adi Bed

So the other night Adi woke up screaming! I think she had a nightmare or something.  I went in and got her. I brought her back into my bed to calm her down and lay with me for a few minutes until she calmed down.  We were laying there trying to go back to sleep and all a sudden Adi says "Adi bed!" She all of a sudden says everything, but I was shocked about what she said.  So I asked her "You want to go back to Adi's bed?" She looked at me with no question and said "ya"!  Two nights later she was laying in my bed with me again and I had fallen asleep. She starts slapping my cheek and saying "Adi bed"!  I love it! I have always been so careful about never letting my kids sleep with us because I don't want them to get into that terrible habit, but I am pretty sure I have nothing to be concerned about.  She doesn't want to sleep anywhere but her bed! I love it!!!

It Brake

So Adi was in brushing her teeth one night and accidentally knocked over this vase. It shattered into a million pieces. I put Adi down in the hall way and told her she couldn't come into the bathroom. She went downstairs to tell daddy what happened. She talked gibberish for 2 minutes and then said "it brake"! Jeremy came up and helped me clean it up. Adi just started crying and kept saying "it brake"! We could not get her to calm down. She was so concerned and so sorry that is broke. It was a total accident but she couldn't understand that. And what was even more funny was that I didn't yell or get mad at her or anything, but she was just beside herself.  Jeremy tried to take her outside to look at the stars and she would talk about the stars for a second and then say "it brake"!  Jeremy tried to get Maci to play with Adi and Adi would talk to Maci for a second and then say "it brake"! It was so sad and yet so funny! She just could not get it out of her mind. She is such a sensitive little thing.  This video is when Jeremy was finally able to calm her down.....
